Race Schedule

Browse the iRacing schedule and prepare for upcoming races with the Race Prep Wizard.

The Race Schedule feature helps you plan your racing week by showing upcoming iRacing events and providing focused preparation tools for each race.

iRacing Integration

Importing Your Schedule

Import your race schedule directly from iRacing:

  1. Connect your iRacing account in Settings > Connections
  2. Go to Race Schedule
  3. Click Import from iRacing
  4. Select series to import
  5. Your schedule syncs automatically

Auto-Sync

Keep your schedule up to date:

  • Enable auto-sync in Settings
  • Schedule updates when you open the app
  • Manual refresh available anytime

Viewing the Schedule

Access the full iRacing schedule directly in Braking Lab:

  1. Go to Race Schedule from the main menu
  2. Browse by week, day, or series
  3. Filter by license class, car type, or track
  4. See race times in your local timezone

Schedule Information

Each race listing shows:

  • Series name and license class
  • Track and configuration
  • Race times throughout the day
  • Session length and format
  • Car(s) eligible for the series

  2. Click the star icon to follow
  3. Access your followed series from My Series

  • Series-specific statistics

Race Prep Wizard

The Race Prep Wizard creates a focused practice plan for an upcoming race using a comprehensive 6-step process.

Starting Race Prep

  1. Find the race you want to prepare for
  2. Click Prepare for This Race
  3. The wizard guides you through setup

Prep Steps

Step 1: Race Details

Enter or confirm race information:

  • Series and car selection
  • Track and configuration
  • Race date and time
  • Session format

Step 2: Familiarity Assessment

Rate your familiarity with the track:

  • Have you raced here before?
  • How many laps of practice?
  • Confidence level (1-5)
  • This helps customize the prep plan

Step 3: Practice Time Estimation

Set your available practice time:

  • Hours available before race
  • Session length preference
  • Practice schedule flexibility

Step 4: Template Selection

Choose from 3 built-in preparation templates:

Connect reference data for exercise generation:

  • Select from your imported laps
  • Import new data from Garage61
  • Link community reference laps
  • Auto-generate exercises from braking zones

Auto-Generate Exercises

The wizard can automatically create exercises from your reference lap:

  1. Select your best lap for the track
  2. Click Generate Exercises
  3. Exercises created for each braking zone
  4. Difficulty auto-set based on your assessment
  5. Ready to practice immediately

Prep Session Types

Choose your preparation focus:

Quick Prep (15 min)

  • Top 3 critical braking zones
  • High repetition count
  • Best for refreshing before race

Standard Prep (30 min)

  • All major braking zones
  • Balanced approach
  • Good for regular practice

Deep Prep (60+ min)

  • Every corner analyzed
  • Multiple difficulty levels
  • Best for learning new tracks

Track Notes Integration

Race Prep connects with Track Notepad:

  • View existing notes during prep
  • Add notes as you practice
  • Race-specific reminders
  • Corner-by-corner reference
