Capture FAQ

What operating systems are supported?

Capture is currently available for Windows only, as iRacing is a Windows-exclusive simulator. It will be distributed via the Microsoft Store.

Does it affect game performance?

No. Capture uses less than 5% CPU and under 100MB of RAM. It reads telemetry files after your session, not during racing.

Do I need a Braking Lab account?

Yes, a free Braking Lab account is required for cloud sync. Your sessions upload automatically and are available for analysis in the web app.

What data does it capture?

Brake, throttle, speed, steering, G-forces, GPS coordinates, gear, RPM, and more — all at 60Hz. Every variable iRacing records in its telemetry files.

How do I configure iRacing for telemetry?

Enable telemetry logging in iRacing's settings (app.ini). Capture includes a built-in checker that verifies your iRacing configuration and guides you through setup.
