Introduction to Capture
Braking Lab Capture records your iRacing and LMU sessions, uploads them to your account, and lets you analyze them and ask Ray, your Race Engineer.
Braking Lab Capture is a Windows desktop app for iRacing and Le Mans Ultimate (LMU). It reads the telemetry your simulator saves, measures every braking zone and uploads the session to your Braking Lab account. You drive. Capture does the rest.

What Capture Does
- Records your sessions. When you leave a session, Capture splits the laps and measures each braking zone. There is nothing to export and nothing to upload by hand.
- Keeps a Queue. New sessions are processed on their own from the day you install Capture. Older telemetry waits in the Queue until you decide to process it. See The Queue and Issues.
- Analyzes sessions in the app. Analyze in the sidebar lists every session in your account and on this PC. Open one to see the lap list, the track map, the input traces and each braking zone. See Analyze.
- Lets you ask your Race Engineer. Ask Ray, your Race Engineer, where you lose time or what changed between two setups. Ray runs on Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI on this computer, with your own subscription. See Race Engineer.
- Syncs to the cloud. Sessions upload in the background, and today’s sessions go first. Offline, Capture keeps working and uploads when the connection is back. See Cloud Sync.
The Sidebar
The sidebar holds Home, Analyze, Race Engineer and Settings. At the bottom are What’s new, Help, the activity Log and a link to your Braking Lab Dashboard. Fold the sidebar into an icon rail with the button in its footer or with Ctrl+B. Capture remembers your choice.
Plan Requirement
Capture needs a Braking Lab account on the Plus or Ultra plan. If your account is on Basic, the first-run setup tells you so and lets you check again after you change plan.
