Cloud Sync

How Braking Lab Capture syncs your telemetry to the cloud so it's available in the web app.

Capture syncs your processed telemetry to the cloud automatically, so your laps are always available in the Braking Lab web app. No manual uploads, no file transfers.

Seamless Sync

Once you finish a session, your data appears in the web app without any manual steps. The sync indicator in the main window shows you what’s happening at all times.

Signing In

Capture uses a simple device code flow to connect your account:

  1. Capture shows a short verification code
  2. A browser window opens to the sign-in page
  3. Enter the code and sign in with your Braking Lab account
  4. Done — Capture stays connected and manages your session automatically

You can sign out anytime from Settings or the system tray menu.

Works Offline

No internet? No problem. Capture keeps working:

  • Your sessions are still captured and processed locally
  • Everything syncs automatically when you’re back online
  • Nothing is lost — even extended offline periods are handled gracefully

The connectivity indicator in the dashboard shows your current status:

Your Data in the Web App

After sync, your laps are ready in the web app:

  1. Go to app.brakinglab.com
  2. Navigate to My Laps
  3. Find your session by track, car, or date
  4. Explore braking zones, track maps, and lap details
  5. Generate training exercises from any corner

Privacy

Your data is private — only you can access your telemetry through your account.

Troubleshooting

Data Not Appearing in Web App

  1. Check sync status in Capture — the file should show “Synced”
  2. Refresh the web app — new data may take a moment to appear
  3. Check your account — ensure you’re signed in with the same account in both apps

Authentication Issues

If you’re asked to re-authenticate frequently:

  • Check your internet connection stability
  • Sign out and sign in again
  • Ensure your Braking Lab account is active

Sync Stuck

If files stay in “Syncing” for a long time:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Look at the Errors tab in File Management
  3. Try restarting Capture
