Pitwall
Your unified training and race-planning home — Progress and Calendar tabs in a single command center.
The Pitwall is the home page of Braking Lab for individual users. It unifies your training progress and upcoming races into one screen so you can see your current form and what you need to prepare for next — without jumping between pages.
Open it at /pitwall. The legacy routes /progress and /schedule redirect here, preserving any query params.
Layout
The Pitwall has two tabs:
| Tab | URL | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| Progress (default) | /pitwall?tab=progress | Training stats, trends, activity, upcoming races |
| Calendar | /pitwall?tab=calendar | Full race planner across iRacing and Le Mans Ultimate |
Switching tabs updates the URL, so you can deep-link to either directly.
Progress tab
The Progress tab is a coach-style dashboard assembled from every data source your account touches. Top to bottom:
Inactivity warning
If you have been away ≥ 3 days and your BR Rating is actively decaying, a small banner appears with the exact BR you will lose if you don’t train soon.
Stats grid (4 cards)
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| BR Rating | Current rating + weekly delta (↑ / ↓ / flat) |
| Avg. Exercise Score | Last-30-days average vs. the prior 30 |
| Upcoming Races | Next race weekday + races completed this period |
| Current Streak | Consecutive training days + your personal best |
Score Progression chart
A line chart with a three-mode toggle in the card header:
| Mode | What it plots |
|---|---|
| Sessions (default) | Your last 20 sessions, one point each |
| Weekly | Average score per ISO week (last 20 weeks with activity) |
| Monthly | Average score per calendar month (last 20 months with activity) |
Pick the cadence that matches how you think about your progress. Your choice is saved and syncs across devices when you’re signed in.
Exercise Breakdown table
One row per exercise type (Hold Pressure, Trail Braking, Consistency, etc.) with sessions, average, best, total time and a trend arrow.
Training Activity heatmap
A 365-day GitHub-style grid. Each cell merges six event sources into a single intensity score:
- Practice exercises
- Captured laps (desktop telemetry)
- Completed races
- Brake Master sessions
- Track note updates
- Coaching reports
The filter in the card header narrows the colour: Exercises = practice + Brake Master, Activities = laps + races + notes + coaching, All = everything. Hover for the per-source breakdown.
Upcoming widget + Recent Activity feed
Bottom of the page:
- Upcoming — next 5 cross-sim races within 14 days across the series you follow.
- Recent Activity — merged feed of exercises, captured laps, track notes and race prep events. Click any row to jump to the source.
Customize menu
A slider-icon button sits in the top-right header, next to the help icon, whenever the Progress tab is active. Opening it gives you one row per customizable section with:
- A checkbox to hide or show the section.
- ↑ ↓ buttons to move it up or down in the page.
The three customizable sections are Score Progression, By Exercise Type and Training Activity. Stats cards, the inactivity banner, Upcoming and Recent Activity stay fixed — they anchor the layout.
Your layout is persisted locally, and syncs across devices when you’re signed in, alongside your other preferences.
Calendar tab
The Calendar tab is the race planner. It was previously the standalone /schedule page; the full feature set moved into the Pitwall in v0.98.
Add a race
Click Add Race to create an event. When you pick iRacing as the sim, the dropdowns auto-populate from the current season’s official data (cars, classes, series, tracks). Le Mans Ultimate series are sourced from Supabase and refreshed each LMU season.
Table vs Calendar views
Toggle at the top. Table view gives you a sortable list with quick actions. Calendar view shows events on a monthly grid.

Deep links
Anywhere you can paste a URL, use:
- Progress tab:
/pitwall?tab=progress - Calendar tab:
/pitwall?tab=calendar
Both require authentication (free account). Teams land on their team dashboard instead of the Pitwall.
Tips
- Follow series from the Progress tab’s Series Browser — followed series populate the Calendar, Upcoming widget and This Week section automatically.
- Use the Inactivity warning as a nudge — the banner appears before decay gets heavy; training even a single exercise resets the timer.
- Share
/pitwall?tab=calendarwith a teammate — once they sign in, they land on their own Calendar with their followed series. - Declutter with the Customize menu — hide the sections you don’t need and push the one you care about most to the top. Great if you live inside the Score Progression chart or the Training Activity heatmap.
- Switch the progression chart to Weekly or Monthly after a long break — session-level noise smooths out, making long-term trends easier to read.
