How the Porsche Mission R real 1 Handles Braking
The Porsche Mission R is an electric all-wheel-drive concept car with regenerative braking and a wet weight with driver of 1,572 kg in the manual. Its dashboard and in-car controls provide the information needed to manage the braking system without assuming a particular axle-specific regeneration strategy.
Brake bias adjustment becomes critical with the Mission R's AWD regenerative setup. The car offers in-car brake bias adjustments through the F8 black box, allowing single-digit percentage offsets from your garage baseline. Higher front bias increases stability under braking but can induce understeer, while rearward bias sharpens turn-in rotation at the cost of stability. The 11-position ABS system provides visual feedback through dashboard LED strips during intervention, helping you identify the threshold between maximum deceleration and electronic assistance.
The front anti-roll bar has three settings: 1 is stiffest and 3 softest. Stiffening it increases high-speed stability and understeer; softening it reduces understeer. The rear bar has seven positions, with 1 stiffest and 7 softest. A stiffer rear bar increases cornering oversteer and a softer bar reduces it. The front bar is adjusted in the garage; the rear bar can also be adjusted through the F8 black box.
Stop Guessing, Start Improving
Many drivers slam the brakes with all their strength, but the fastest modulate pressure, use the brake to rotate the car, and exit as fast as possible. Train that skill here.

General practice tips
Tip 1
Starting point
Start with the official setup and consult the simulator documentation for available controls. Appropriate brake bias depends on the car and conditions.
Tip 2
One variable
Change one setting at a time and compare several laps. Record the change and observed behavior before keeping it.
Tip 3
Comparable conditions
Compare similar fuel loads, tires and track conditions. One lap alone does not establish that a setting is better.
