Introducing Teams: Train Together, Win Together

Create racing teams in Braking Lab — share exercises, compare telemetry, manage drivers, and track progress all in one place.

We’re thrilled to announce Teams — a complete team management and coaching system built right into Braking Lab. Whether you run a sim racing academy, coach a handful of drivers, or train with friends, Teams gives you the tools to collaborate effectively and improve together.

Why Teams?

Sim racing has always been a community sport. You share setups, discuss strategy, and learn from each other. But until now, training tools have been individual experiences. Teams changes that by bringing collaborative features directly into your training workflow.

What Can You Do with Teams?

Create and Manage Your Team

Setting up a team takes less than a minute. Choose a name, upload a logo, pick your accent color, and you’re ready to go. Invite members via email or share an invite link — they’ll join instantly.

Four Roles, Clear Permissions

Teams uses a 4-tier role hierarchy designed for real-world racing team workflows:

  • Owner — Full control over the team, billing, and settings
  • Admin — Manage members, content, and configuration
  • Coach — Share content, add coaching notes, review driver telemetry
  • Driver — Practice team exercises, view shared content, suggest exercises

Each role has carefully designed permissions so everyone can do their job without stepping on each other.

Share Everything

Share 8 types of content with your team:

  • Exercises and laps
  • Video practice sessions
  • Track notes with corner-by-corner details
  • Race events and strategies
  • Desktop telemetry sessions and laps

Control who sees what with three visibility levels: Everyone, Coaches & Drivers, or Coaches Only. Drivers can suggest content, which goes through a review workflow before being shared with the team.

Compare Braking Zones

This is where it gets powerful. Compare up to 4 laps from different drivers side by side, analyzing:

  • Entry and exit speed
  • Brake point consistency
  • Peak brake pressure
  • Trail braking score
  • Time in braking zone

Set reference sessions so your drivers know what to aim for, and add coaching notes directly to individual sessions and braking zones.

Team Calendar

Schedule race events, assign drivers, and add coach-only notes for preparation. The calendar keeps everyone aligned on what’s coming up and who’s driving.

Scoreboards & Analytics

Track performance with three types of scoreboards:

  • Best Lap Times — From telemetry sessions
  • Exercises Completed — Who’s putting in the work
  • Best Scores — Top performers on team exercises

The analytics dashboard gives you a bird’s eye view of team activity: practice leaderboards, popular exercises, and weekly summaries.

Getting Started

  1. Sign in to Braking Lab
  2. Click My Teams in the sidebar
  3. Click Create Team
  4. Invite your drivers and start sharing

Teams is available now and completely free during the beta, with support for up to 100 members and generous content limits.

We can’t wait to see what teams you build. Happy racing!
