When does the Founding Member window close?
It closes when Braking Lab exits beta — there's no countdown, but it won't last more than a few weeks past launch. Once it's gone, it's gone for good.
When does my billing period start if I subscribe now?
Your annual cycle starts the day we exit beta, not the day you subscribe. If beta ends in two weeks, your year of access begins then — you don't lose any time during the remaining beta. Your locked price applies at signup either way.
What does "lifetime" actually mean?
Your locked price stays attached to your subscription for as long as you keep it active. It survives renewals, future Ultra price increases, and upgrades from Plus to Ultra. Today that maps to a discount; if Ultra's listed price rises later, your absolute savings grow but your bill doesn't move. It is lost only if you cancel and re-subscribe later.
Can I switch between yearly and monthly?
Yes, anytime from the Stripe Customer Portal. During the Founding window only Ultra annual is purchasable (so your locked price anchors against the largest possible delta). Monthly and Plus unlock right after we exit beta.
Do team members need their own subscriptions?
Only the team owner needs Ultra. Team seats unlock Capture and shared content for the member, but they don't include personal Ultra perks like unlimited AI reports. Members can add Plus or Ultra on top if they want personal features — and when they do, the owner's seat for that member gets cheaper at the next renewal (see the seat-pricing question below).
How much does a team seat cost the owner?
Each seat is priced by the member's own plan: €0/yr if the member has Ultra, €15/yr if the member has Plus (50% off), €30/yr if the member is on Basic/Free. The price is locked when the member is added (or at the owner's anniversary) and only re-evaluates at the next yearly renewal — mid-cycle tier changes don't affect the bill until then. During the Founding window, owners with the Founding plan get up to 5 seats free regardless of the member's tier.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Existing data stays. New uploads honor the new tier limits and retention window. Telemetry older than your tier's retention is soft-archived, not deleted.
Refunds and taxes?
14-day money-back on initial subscription purchases (does not cover renewals or seats added later — see Terms §16). Listed prices are net of VAT; Stripe calculates and adds the applicable tax at checkout based on your jurisdiction, and EU businesses with a valid VAT ID get reverse-charge treatment.
