The Nissan GTP ZX-T is Electramotive's turbocharged IMSA prototype, developed around the Nissan VG30ET engine.
Suspension and chassis
Electramotive's programme began with a Lola-based chassis before progressing to its own design by Trevor Harris. Continued development improved the reliability of the early cars.
Competition background
Geoff Brabham secured the IMSA drivers' title in 1988 and again in 1989. Nissan also took the manufacturers' championship in 1989, a season that included victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring.
